SOAR

SOAR
Steelworkers Organization of Active Retirees (SOAR) was established in 1985 to link the USW’s active members with those in retirement so that both can work on common problems. The organization is the United Steelworkers’ way of proving that important work remains after retirement.

Local 959 SOAR Meetings

SOAR meetings are held the second Thursday of each month at 1:00 pm at our Union Hall.

Why SOAR?

  • To enhance the communities in which you live;
  • To advance the policies of the United Steelworkers;
  • To engage in political and legislative action to benefit older and retired members, as well as current union members.
